Oxford Advanced Learner’s Dictionary 8 Edition defined youth as ” the time of life when a person is young, especially the time of life when a person is young, especially the time before a child becomes an adult “.
Oxford Advanced Learner’s Dictionary 8 Edition defined politics, “as the activities involved in getting and using power in public life, and being able to influence decisions that affect a country or society. ”
Google defined politics as, “the activities associated with the governance of a country or area, especially the debate between parties having power.”
According to my research, you cannot get the word politics in Blacks Law Dictionary 9th Edition, but you can get political, the word political is an adjective instead of a noun politics. Blacks Law Dictionary 9th Edition defined political as “pertaining to politics; of or relating to the conduct of government.”
I was given opportunity to contest in this election but I turned it down.
The time is now!
We’ll be needing about 50 people preferably youths who will be contesting for various political positions in 2019 under the political platform of NRM National Rescue Movement.
Such posts as House of Reps,House of Assembly, Governorship and Senate.
The party already has a presidential candidate.
Start convincing people to come out to contest,u can come out yourself.
I’m working on getting sponsors,that’s difficult but it will be done.
So let’s get prospective candidates ready so that we present them soon as possible .
Talk to men ,not anyhow persons of course .
I mean people who has what it takes to make youths of his/her place vibrate ,a leader.
He/she doesn’t need to be rich.
Charisma is all we require .
Its time we get involved!

What are the benefits of politics?
Are you a politician or apolitical person?
These are the questions you have to ask yourself.
Meaningful democracy requires the meaningful participation of youth. Young people have much to offer societies – from innovation to creativity to new thinking. Their participation in democracy promotes active citizenship, strengthens social responsibility and can enhance democratic processes and institutions.
Nigeria Political Atmosphere is changing, youth is taking over politics in Nigeria.
When politics started in Nigeria it began with the youths not the old people.
Read political history in Nigeria during the time of Aguyi Ironsi, Ojukwu and others.
What does the UN mean by ‘youth’ and how does this definition differ from that given to children? The United Nations, for statistical purposes, defines ‘youth’, as those persons between the ages of 15 and 24 years, without prejudice to other definitions by Member States.
Generally speaking, the younger people are the earlier they place the boundaries for each of the stages. For instance, most 18-24 year olds consider a person to have reached middle age by the age of 40, while among those aged 45 and over most don’t think that stage of life is reached until the age of 50.

It’s important to understand that your vote won’t just influence you, it will influence numerous individuals, and their regular day to day existence. … Laws to change but it takes the involvement of individuals and the knowledge of the population regarding politics and how it can affect us and people around us.
Politics decides many things and with those decisions, the consequences are felt as a ripple down the line for many generations, not just the one where the law was introduced. For instance, when it was decided that every American should be able to carry a gun, that law is still in effect and it affects many people’s lives. Additionally, when it was decided in certain Muslim countries that women should not be able to drive without their guardian that law was in place for many, many years. Laws to change but it takes the involvement of individuals and the knowledge of the population regarding politics and how it can affect us and people around us. The important of politics is enormous and it will only continue to grow as politics slowly gets itself involved in all aspects of our lives especially on the international scene.
Whoever we voted in matters whether rigged or not.The character matters, eg. If he’s a dictator, you people who voted him in will witness it, if he’s a criminal you will witness crime, if he’s a religious bigotry you will witness more of it.
Let’s be careful in people we vote for in the name of politics.
You must consider the future of your country before voting. Sentiment, self interest and temporal enjoyment should be set aside. We should consider permanent advantages before voting.
Politics is very important. Whatever we decides in any election affects us, our children and our generation, please consider this before playing a dirty politics.
There was a time in my village my elder brother said I should mingle with our village lawyers, they’re about two, I told him ” *no* ” because they’re not advising them very well. I can’t join them to do those dirty business in the name of money.
They advice them wrongly in the village, our village law is outdated and obsolete. God forbid for me to join such impunity.
As a youth get involved;Don’t assume you’re too young or you’re not ready.Do the right thing for legacy sake. Mind you, you can’t please everyone, you must have enemy.
Politics! Politics! Politics! Which type of politics are you playing? I partook very well in this past election but I was finally disappointed. Rigging was order of the day. They rigged the election with many ways.
Mind you that no country has best election but let it be free and fair at least 50% not 39% like case of Nigerian election.
I beseech all the youths who are interested in politics to be: 1, educated, 2. Disciplined, 3. Have goals,.4. Loved,5. Spiritually, and 6. Legally.
Do not be afraid as a youth, nobody will harm you. Politics is good if done well.
Don’t see politics as a dirty business this is a wrong impression created in Africa, not just Nigeria.
However, any angle you see politics it works for you. See politics as a good business,in fact see politics as if you have come to serve not to lead but to serve your country. Mind you, you may have good intention but when you found yourself there, you must see majority who wants to corrupt your mind. They will start teaching you another doctrine contrary to what brought you, sometimes if you refuse they may plan to eliminate you.
Don’t be afraid that’s why you must be spiritual and well equipped in all angles.
Reputation is very important thing in politics, please protect it by all means.
Ask yourself what’s your legacy and what will be people’s reaction after serving them. Have in mind of dropping a legacy as you serve.
Youth Political Participation. Young people are often excluded or overlooked as political candidates. … As the increased political participation of women benefits society as a whole, the presence of young people in decision-making positions benefits all citizens and not just youth.
Finally, I urge our youth to be involved in politics.
